Pengembangan Perangkat Pembelajaran Dengan Menerapkan Teknik Master Plan Berbasis Pendekatan Saintifik Untuk Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Peserta Didik Pada Materi Pola Bilangan

This research was underlied by the implementation of curriculum 2013 in the education which required teachers to prepare the learning well. One form of preparation done by teachers is preparing learning media that supports the implementation of Curriculum 2013 included in Mathematics learning. The results of observation and analysis done by researcher on the learning media used by teachers at some Junior High School (SMP)/Islamic Junior High School (MTs) in Pekanbaru obtained information that the learning media made by the teacher still needs to be fixed. One of examples is Lesson Plan (RPP) arranged only one same learning technique centered until the teacher still does not try to develop the lesson plan with different learning technique. Based on that problem, the researcher also found out that there is no one conducting the research and development on learning media by applying MASTER Plan technnique with scientific approach based, thus the researcher took initiative to conduct this research by using MASTER Plan scientific approach based. Applying independent learning with MASTER Plan technique scientific approach based especially on number pattern material, the students can memorize, understand, and comprehend, apply the formula that has been observed and found to solve the learning problem independently. Technique is the method or system of working on something. Thus, the learning technique meant in this research is the method or system in learning. MASTER is an acronym which reflects the learning stages as follows: (M)otivate your mind, (A)quiring the information, (S)earching out the meaning, (T)riggering the memory, (E)xhibiting what you know, (R)eflecting on how you’ve learned. Scientific consists of 5 activities such as observing, asking, collecting information, reasoning, and communicating. Based on the stages of MASTER Plan Technique and scientific learning activities then the researcher designed MASTER Plan Technique scientific approach based by applying “motivate your mind” in the opening activity. Second, in the core activity, occurs the activity of observing and asking by applying the stage of “acquiring information”, activity of collecting information, activity of reasoning with stage of “searching out the meaning” and “triggering the memory”, and activity of communicating the stage “exhibiting what you know” and “reflecting what you’ve learned”. The purpose of this research is to produce a learning media by applying MASTER Plan technique to improve students’ learning achievement on number pattern material by fulfilling valid, practical, and effective criteria. The research type used was research and development. The learning media was developed by using ADDIE model namely (A)nalysis, (D)esign, (D)evelopment, (I)mplementation, dan (E)valuation. The learning media developed were Syllabus, Lesson Plan (RPP), and LKPD. The instruments used for collecting the research data were in the form of validation, practicality, and effectiveness instruments. Validation sheed was used to obtain the assessment of syllabus validity, Lesson Plan validity, and LKPD validity. Observation sheet of teacher’s activity and students’ response questionnaire. The practicality instrument used observation sheet of teacher’s activity observation and students’ questionnaire response. The instrument for data effectiveness was in the form of essay. The validation result of the experts states that the product developed achieve syllabus validity level in the amount of 84,25% with valid category, validity level of Lesson Plan in the amount of 90,30% with extremely valid category, and validity level of LKPD syllabus in the amount of 86,50% with extremely valid category. The learning media are assessed very practical in the small group trial with average of students’ response is 95,67% and big group trial from the observation sheet of teacher’s activity is 93,52% and average responses of students 92,25%. The learning media is effective in improving students’ learning achievement reviewed from the students’ learning completion in the amount of 83.33% the students obtain the score exceeding Criteria of Minimum Completion (KKM) 75. The development product is in the form of Mathematics learning media with MASTER Plan technique on number pattern material and has fulfilled valid criteria, very practical, and effective to improve students’ learning achievement.
