Kerguelen, Antarctic and subantarctic

1983
Abstract The area including Marion, Crozet, Kerguelen, and Heard islands seems to be one where there is more interchange and less clear gradiation between Antarctic and subantarctic waters than in most longitudes. Complexity and variability in the region could be largely due to the irregular bottom topography, but nearby currents, particularly the Weddell Drift, might account for some of it.
