Method and terminal for controlling processor operation

The embodiment of the invention discloses a method for controlling processor operation. The method includes the steps of obtaining a performance number, needed by a processor, of a terminal in the current operation state, obtaining at least two operating parameter combinations, not lower than the performance number, of the processor and power dissipation values of the operating parameter combinations, and calling the operating parameter combination with the minimum power dissipation value in the two operating parameter combinations to operate the processor. Correspondingly, the embodiment of the invention further discloses the terminal. By means of the method and the terminal, under the condition that the performance of the processor is guaranteed, the power dissipation can be reduced, the electric energy can be saved, the runtime of electronic products can be prolonged, and the user experience can be improved.
