Comment on “A time-dependent methodology for fault tree evaluation”: by W.E. Vesely Nuclear Engineering and Design 13 No. 2 (1970) p. 337–360

Abstract A previous article by W.E. Vesely shows how to calculate, as functions of time, the unavailability and expected number of failures of a system with repairable components. This letter argues that its further claim to calculate the probability of at least one failure is mistaken.
