Chapter 6 Spark source mass spectrometry analysis — Its application to polycrystalline solar grade silicon

Abstract This paper deals with analytical aspects of spark source mass spectrometry (SSMS) and its application to the analysis of solar grade silicon. The first part mainly describes the general approach carried out by the analyst running the technique. The second part presents specific results obtained on polycrystalline solar grade silicon, as an illustration of the help provided by SSMS during the development of a new technological material.
