Syntheses and Characterization of the Pyrimido[1,2-a][1,3,5]triazinthione as a New Ring System and Antibacterial Agent

The pyrimido[4,5-e][1,2,4]triazine was prepared as a new ring system via annulation of the triazine ring onto the preformed pyrimidine derivative. Various S-benzoylisothiourea derivatives were synthesized by condensation of benzoylthiocyanate with amines. All the synthesized compounds were tested as antimicrobial agents and compounds 11 and 12 showed significant activity toward to Klebsiella pneumoniae.
