When in the melting and casting, the upper half steel pipe and the lower half steel pipe are closed and fastened through the fastener; the enclosed sluice serves as the passage of molten metal, one end of the sluice is connected with a smelting furnace or a tundish, and the other end thereof is connected with a casting die or a casting furnace; and the zinc and zinc alloy melt flowing out from the smelting furnace or the tundish flows into the sluice from one end of the sluice, and flows out of the sluice from the other end of the sluice to flow into the casting die or the casting furnace. The enclosed sluice for melting and casting zinc and zinc alloy can reduce the oxidation of the molten melt during the pouring process, improves the operating environment for the workers, has a simple structure, is convenient to use, and is applicable to both the interrupted melting and casting of the zinc and the zinc alloy big ingots and the uninterrupted melting and casting of the conventional standard zinc ingots.
