Irreversible cortical damage in acute postanoxic coma: Predictive value of somatosensory-evoked potentials

The study of the N20-P25 complex in acute anoxic-ischemic coma allows early identification of patients who will not recover cortical function. This parameter is useful in the selection of potential organ donors and in prevention of unnecessary prolonged intensive treatment.
