Analysis of hepatitis B viral infection of rural residents in Longan county.

2010
[Objective] To understand the hepatitis B viral infection of rural residents in Longan county of Guangxi in 2004. [Methods] The study subjects were selected from residents aged 30-55 from all villages throughout Longan county by stratified sampling. A sampling of blood was drawn from each study subject. Sera were tested for HBsAg used Enzyme-Linked Immuno Sorbent Assay (ELISA),and alanine aminotransferase (ALT) used King's method. [Results] The positive rate of HBsAg was 14.51%. The abnormal rate of ALT was 7.05%. The rate of HBsAg positive and ALT abnormal was 2.87%. The HBsAg positive and / or ALT abnormal rate in male was significantly higher than that of female ( 16.66% ,9.18% ,3.61% vs. 12.60%,5.16%,2.21%)(P﹤0.05 for all). There were significant difference of the HBsAg positive rate,ALT abnormal rate,HBsAg positive and ALT abnormal rate in different age groups (P﹤0.01 for all). The HBsAg positive rate was decreased with age growing (P﹤0.01). The ALT abnormal rate was significantly higher in HBsAg positive populations (19.77%) than those HBsAg negative populations (4.89%) (P﹤0.01). [Conclusion] Longan county is still high incidence area of hepatitis B,we should take a better countermeasures against the disease.
