The invention discloses an energy-saving electronic-hydraulic braking system and a control method thereof. The energy-saving electronic-hydraulic braking system comprises a high-pressure fluid supply source and a low-pressure fluid supply source. The high-pressure fluid supply source comprises a high-power motor, a high-pressure pump and a high-pressure accumulator. The low-pressure fluid supply source comprises a low-power motor and a low-pressure pump. At the braking idle stroke stage, the low-power motor drives the low-pressure pump to inject fluid into a wheel cylinder, a piston pushes a friction plate to make contact with a brake disc, and no braking torque is generated; at the braking action stage, a low-speed electromagnetic valve is started, brake fluid in the high-pressure accumulator enters the wheel cylinder, the piston continues to be pushed to enable the friction plate to compress the brake disc, and braking torque is generated. According to the energy-saving electronic-hydraulic braking system, the quantity of fluid discharged from the high-pressure accumulator in a one-shot braking process is reduced, energy consumption of an automobile in the braking process is reduced, and the size of the high-pressure accumulator is decreased.
