Telemedicine in Senology

Senology is a crucial branch of medicine and oncology. Information and communications technology (ICT) tools have been implemented in this field and more are in development, including in the area of telemedicine. The use of web-based applications and connecting devices ranges from diagnosis (including the creation of a network connecting specialists around the world, offering access to diagnosis and treatment in senology for patients living far from major centers), to research, to real-time treatment (breast surgery), to the development of breast care programs aimed at reducing mortality secondary to breast cancer.
