Baroreflex sensitivity: An algebraic dilemma

The baroreflex system is a complex mechanism for short-term regulation of arterial blood pressure, involving the heart rate (HR), the heart contractility and the vascular tone in its efferent branches. The study of arterial baroreflexes relies on two different experimental approaches.
