A process for distillative recovery of pure 1,3-butadiene from crude 1,3-butadiene

Disclosed is a process for the distillative recovery of pure 1,3-butadiene from crude 1,3-butadiene in a plant with one or more distillation columns, with supplying a feed stream of crude 1,3-butadiene to the one or the first the plurality of distillation columns, wherein the one or having more distillation columns flanges with an inner diameter of ≧ 80 mm, comprising two mutually opposite plane-parallel surfaces (1), with an interposed seal (2) which divide the interior of the one or the first of the plurality of distillation columns over a atmospheric side interspace (3) between the two opposite plane-parallel surfaces (1) seals, and said atmosphere side space (3) between the two opposite plane-parallel surfaces (1) is closed to the atmosphere to form a chamber, characterized is characterized in that the chamber continuously during operation of the plant with a low-oxygen gas or an oxygen-poor liquid containing 1 wt .-% of molecular oxygen or less, based on the total weight of the low-oxygen gas or oxygen-poor liquid is rinsed.
