In competition to other means of transportation the rail traffic has to face increasing requirements. In the global markets improvements in economy have highest priority and are the main reason for innovations and the use of new technological opportunities. The article introduces an upcoming series to describe the objectives and contents of the cooperative project eSIE.CAR.
