They would occur in a different way in the more surprising belief that water bathes in you' These two possible beliefs involve the same concepts but in different ways, just as two sentences might make use of the same words in different orders. Concepts are to beliefs and other attitudes as words are to sentences. In this respect. a system of concepts and their possible combinations are like a language of thought.
