ADSORPTION OF Ni~(2+) ON 1-(2-PYRIDYLAZO)-2-NAPHTHOL-6-SUIPHONIC ACID IMPREGNATED RESIN

The PAN-S resin was prepared by treating the 201×7 ion-exchange resin with 1-(2-pyridylazo)-2-naphthol-6-suiphonic acid.Spectrophotometry was adopted and optimized to determine the concentration of Ni2+ in the solution and 1-(2-pyridylazo)-2-naphthol-6-suiphonic acid was used as the chromogenic reagent,the detection wavelength was 550nm.The static and dynamic adsorption characteristics of Ni2+ on the PAN-S resin were investigated in this paper.The results indicated that the Langmuir and Freundlich models gave perfect fitting to the isotherm data and the adsorption of Ni2+ on the PAN-S resin is a kind of exothermal process within the temperature range of 288~318K.
