Newnham Memorial Lecture: Environmental Challenges and Opportunities

There has been an unprecedented increase in public awareness of environmental matters during the past two years. Environment was a major topic at the 1989 Summit Meeting in Paris, the Non-Aligned Countries Meeting in Yugoslavia, and at the Commonwealth Heads of Government meeting in Malaysia.
