U-Pb geochronology of garnet from Daschkesan skarn deposit (Lesser Caucasus)

We present new U-Pb ID-TIMS data for garnet from the Daschkesan skarn deposit. The uranium content ranges from 8 to 8,5 ppm. Garnet is characterized by low common Pb (Pb c /Pb t = 0,01-0,17). The concordia age is 146 ± 3 Ma (MSWD = 0,87). Our results demonstrate the reliability of calcium garnet as a mineral for the precise timing of skarn formation.
