An Approach to Use Virtual and Remote Labs in Mechatronics Education Based on Cloud Services

In this paper is presented an approach to use virtual and remote laboratories in mechatronics education through cloud services as nowadays laboratory experimentation plays an important role in mechatronics education. No doubt that virtual and remote labs can reduce the costs that are associated with conventional hands-on labs due to their required equipment, staff and space. This paper describes how to develop an infrastructure for education in mechatronics based on cloud services as the adoption of cloud technologies in the academic environment has the potential of offering new opportunities for improvement and innovation of the distance mechatronics learning process.
