RADIATION CATALYSIS OF ETHYL BROMIDE--SIX MONTHS "ON-STREAM"

Commercial production of ethyl bromide using gammaradiation as a catalyst is discussed. A two-phase gasliquid reaction was chosen over a gaseous reaction and over a single-phase liquid reaction. Ethyl bromide is manufactured from ethylene and hydrogen bromide. (R.E.U.)
