The Piebald Defect Analysis of Cylinder Liner from Platform-test

Piebald defect was appeared on the inner surface of thin-wall cast iron cylinder liner from platform-test.The reasons were analyzed by experimental analysis.The results show that the stiffness of the cylinder liner is insufficient,higher mechanical loads and thermal effect in working process lead to roundness distortion of the cylinder liner.To remove the piebald defect,the casting technique should be improved,so as to advance the stiffness of cylinder liner.
