Treatment of the Complications of Rheumatoid Arthritis

SUMMARY Review of some of the more frequent or significant complications of rheumatoid arthritis suggests that optimal and vigorous treatment of the basic disease is of advantage in control or possibly the prevention of some visceral manifestations. Nevertheless, therapeutic measures ranging from mouthwash to renal transplantation may be necessary considerations in coping with some of the complications associated with the entity now designated as rheumatoid arthritis.
