Immunophysiology as a new scientific discipline

: The history of development of immunophysiology in Russia as a new branch of science, is described. New mechanisms of stress-induced immunological disorders were shown: definite effect of stress on immunogenesis in the form of cGMF-lymphocytes responses to an antigen, activity of the T-suppressors, etc. The data obtained suggests a correlation between the type of stress-induced derivation of the IL-1 level the LAF activity. A 35-year long experience in immunophysiology makes it possible to define the latter as a new scientific discipline.
