T cell subsets and costimulatory molecule in peripheral blood of patients with recurrence genital herpes.

2010
Objective To detect the expression of T cell subsets and related costimulatory molecule in peripheral blood of patients with recurrence genital herpes (RGH),and explore their contributions in the RGH immunopathogenesis. Methods The expression of some costimulatory molecules (CD28,CD25,Fas,FasL,4-1BB) and T cell subsets in peripheral blood of patients with RGH and healthy controls were detected by immunofluorescence technique and Flow Cytometry. Results The percentage of CD3+,CD4+/CD8+ and CD4+ CD28+cells ratio in patients(59.48±10.9,0.89±0.20,27.69±7.34) were all lower than that in controls(69.79+5.63,1.14+0.39,33.68±7.32)(P0.05).The percentage of CD4+CD28-cells and the regulatory CD25+ T cells,Fas in patients(6.55±4.46,15.81±8.62,27.58±3.10) was significantly higher than that in the controls(1.93±1.36,7.13±5.13,23.11±5.63)(P0.01). Conclusion The lower expression of CD4+CD28+ T cells in RGH patients suggests that the T cell activation of RGH patients are impairment. There are higher expression of CD25+ T cells in RGH patients, and its negative regulation plays an important role in inhibiting the Organism's cell immunity reaction.
