Reactions of Hydrazonoyl Halides 571: Reactions of 1‐Bromo‐2‐(5‐Chlorobenzofuranyl)Ethanedione‐1‐Phenylhydrazone

Pyrrolo[3,4-c]pyrazole-4,6-diones, pyrazoles, pyrazolo[3,4-d]pyridazines, and pyrazolo[3,4-d]pyrimidines were prepared via 1-bromo-2-(5-chlorobenzofuran-2-yl)ethanedione-1-phenylhydrazone with N-arylmalemides and active methylene. All newly synthesized compounds were confirmed by elemental analysis and spectral data.
