La inclusión de la mujer en la policía nacional

Over time, women have played different roles based on the social conditions of different times and the ideals of femininity, as a result of these processes, women have been specifically dedicated to family care and care. household duties. This prejudice and exclusion defined the labor field as a space where only men could participate. Despite this, women have played a fundamental role throughout history, going through a process of continuous struggle to achieve and exercise their rights, gradually managing to overcome the inequalities that today can still be seen reflected in the different work spaces, both public and private. Today women have come to occupy different spaces in the institutions in charge of defending the country, such as the National Police of Ecuador. This research presents testimonies of women who share the same love and pride for the institution, this to know the process of inclusion of women in the National Police and what are the inherent challenges, in addition to making visible what a woman's life is like in her role as wife, mother and guarantor of citizen security. The information will be contextualized with data and figures on the current position of the female police force in the country, the first admission of women to the police ranks, requirements and the first Amazonian process. Finally, some of the findings and conclusions that have been discovered in this research will be expressed.
