Effect of Seat and Backrest Sloping on the Biomechanical Strain Sustained by the Body

2018
Abstract The sitting posture is frequently adopted, both as a resting posture and as a transition toward the standing posture. This literature review aims to summarize the investigated effects of the seat pan and backrest inclination on the biomechanical strain sustained by the body while seated or performing the sit-to-stand task.
