Efficacy evaluation of sun products formulated with radical-scavengers in liposome complexes

In the present paper the performance of a sun-care product has been evaluated. Attention has been focused on the ability to prevent skin damage, evaluated as reduction of UV-induced skin erythema. Moreover the photostability of the formulation after UV irradiation has been investigated, as a further index of good performance of the product. In fact, due to its particular formulation (UVA-UVB broad spectrum filters, as well as reflecting pigments and Superoxide dismutase and Peroxidase in a liposome complex), the product allows to reach an optimal skin protection through a large synergetic activity of the single compounds, as described in this paper.
