Study on Polymorphisms of FUT1 Gene in Three Foreign Pig Herds

Polymorphisms of FUT1 gene was detected by using PCR-RFLP method in three foreign pig herds.Only genotype AG and GG but no anti-EFC18 genotype AA was found in Landrace and Yorkshire except Duroc herd.The χ2 analysis result showed that FUT1 gene of these three pig herds was in Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium(P0.05).There was high homozygosity but low heterozygosity of FUT1 gene in these populations.Low genetic polymorphism was found in Landrace and Yorkshire herds but medium genetic polymorphism in Duroc herds.Genotypic selection can be carried out to amplify number of pigs with anti-EFC18 genotype AA.
