Hyperattenuating Signs at Unenhanced CT Indicating Acute Vascular Disease

Hyperattenuating signs seen in various vascular diseases at unenhanced CT are discussed and illustrated, potential mimics of these signs are addressed, and the mechanism responsible for hyperattenuating signs and the preferred method for their evaluation at CT are described.
