Study of quark structure functions

The quark structure functions of the proton are determined through a combined analysis of the reactions pN ..-->.. ll-barX and eN ..-->.. eX. The valence-quark structure function of the pion is also given by analyzing the ..pi..N ..-->.. ..mu mu..-barX data measured by the Branson et al.
