Etica e impresa : un nuovo e diverso approccio al tema

2009
Etica e impresa: un nuovo e diverso approccio al tema - The "other-economy": between the market and civil society According to the author, the concept of "other-economy" represents a development of the reflections upon fair trade economy, no-profit and third sector activities, which originated from different approaches. With reference to the categories which have been used up to this period, "other-economy" refers to an emergent and heterogeneous system of activities directed to economic and social change. The essay focuses on some of the characteristics of these activities, starting with a definition of alternative economy, as a group of economic activities - which produce goods for the market or services connected to the action of the state - and of social activities aiming at improving the well being of citizens, social solidarity and environmental sustainability.
