The value of invasive encor biosy using in diagnose and treatment of subclinical breast lesions
2013
Objective To determine the pathology of subclinical breast mass and evaluate the diagnostic value of the US-guided encor biopsy. Methods B-ultrasound-guided minimally invasive encor biopsy system was performed for 964 nonpalpable breast lesions of 630 patients. Results 964 subclinical breast masses were operated succesfully. Of the 630 patients with 964 encor biopsies,686 were diagnosed as broadenomas( 71. 2% ) ,132 were diagnosed as cysts( 13. 7% ) ,45 were diagnosed as intraductal apillomas( 4. 7% ) ,89 were diagnosed as ade- nosis ( 9. 2% ) ,and 12 were diagnosed as early breast cancers( 1. 2% ) . 3 lesions were diagnosed as breast cancer in 136 BI-RADS Ⅳ lesions. 9 lesions were diagnosed as breast cancer in 828 BI-RADS Ⅳ lesions. The omission diagnostic rate for breast cancer was 1. 09% ( 9 /828) . These patients had no positive finding by follow-up. Conclusions A small percentage of diagnosing benign breast subclinical lesions by mammography and sonography also maybe be malignancy. Close follow-up is necessary. The Encor biopsy technique is effective, microinvasived, and rapid diagnostic and excised tool for"one-step operation "of breast subclinical masses.
