The present invention provides methods for the production of natural killer (NK) cells using a method for expanding and differentiating two steps. Also provided herein are methods for suppressing tumor cell poliferacao, or for the treatment of individuals with cancer or a viral infection comprising the administration of NK cells produced by the method to an individual with cancer or viral infection.
