안도 다다오 건축에 나타난 빛의 건축적 표현

Natural light is one of the most important factors that can be utilized to design architectural spaces. It is a sustainable energy source without the cost of electric energy and offers a more natural feeling to the visitors in the building. Therefore, many architects had tried to suggest various methods to create optimum environment conditions in architecture through using the light during the design process. The aim of this paper is to examine the works of Ando Tadao and to analyze how to use the light in his works and design processes. It will help to know how Ando Tadao created different characteristics to spaces by the light. According to the study, Ando Tadao expressed the physical space, psychological space, change of the time, spatial route in his works with the light.
