Case study 5: Cesar Chavez Academy High School

Cesar Chavez Academy is a public charter school, which includes elementary, middle and high schools, sponsored by Saginaw Valley State University, and operated by the Leona Group (LG). C sar Ch vez Academy High School (CCAHS) is located in the eastern suburbs of Detroit, Michigan. In 1995, shortly after the establishment of a middle school and elementary school, the high school was founded to serve a particular area of southwest Detroit.
