Coherent coupling in ring defect photonic crystal vertical cavity surface emitting laser

Selectively oxidized ring defect photonic crystal vertical cavity surface emitting laser (RD-PCVCSEL) is first demonstrated. The device achieves coherent coupling over the entire continuous-wave current range.
