Purpose: There is a relative paucity of data on diagnostic discordance in the pediatric (non-neonatal) critical care transport population. We aim to describe the rates of diagnostic discordance at our pediatric tertiary care center between the reason for transfer of critically ill children (determined by the referring institution's diagnosis) and the inpatient admission diagnosis (determined by our accepting institution), to identify potential factors associated with diagnostic discordance, and to determine its impact on patients' outcomes.
