Preparation of Hyaluronic Acid-Nano Silver Composites by Photo-Reduction

Silver nano colloidal particles were prepared by photo-reduction of silver nitrate using hyaluronic acid(HA) as the disperse medium.The photo-reduction process was tracked using UV-Vis spectroscopy.The properties of the silver nano colloidal particles were investigated by Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy(FT-IR),transmission electron microscopy(TEM),dynamic light scattering(DLS) and antimicrobial activity test.Results show that the obtained silver nano colloidal particles are spherical and the average diameter is about 18 nm.Furthermore,the silver nano particles exhibit good antibacterial properties against S.aureus.
