A Topology Control Algorithm Based on 3-Dimensional Minimally Rigid Graph in Wireless Sensor Networks

This paper proposes an algorithm based on 3-Dimensional minimally rigid graph focusing on the topology control problem in the study of the wireless sensor networks (WSN). Based on generating the 3D minimally rigid graph, the algorithm limits the node degree to reduces the degree variance. The research results prove that the average node degree of the topology constructed by this algorithm tends to be the optimal value 6. Moreover, the algorithm can effectively balance the node energy consumption and improve the network connectivity. Simulation results further verify the algorithm validity.
