Психологические аспекты детско-родительских отношений в условиях изменения культурно-исторической среды

The research made it possible to assess the continuity of generations and their value for each other in the context of ongoing changes in the environment. The tradition to honour the elders and their tactful attitude towards the parents turned out to be important for young people, while the observance of national holidays and traditions, the primacy of the man in the family, hospitality, the appeal to religion and faith seem to be insignificant. The conflict between the desire to be accepted by their parents, to meet their requirements and a slight emphasis on meeting their personal needs and individual freedom is evident. The paper raises the problem of psycho-pedagogical support of modern parents in forming a "position of responsible parenthood." It is necessary for turning the family into a socio-psychological entity that provides a child with a specific educational environment for its spiritual and moral development. The practical importance of the work consists of the fact that the change of cultural historical environment leads to certain distortions reflected in typical ways of behavour and communication, personal character’s traits and qualities, personal self-determination, traditions, habits, customs etc.
