Spectroscopy of 62Ni from the 61Ni(d,p)62Ni reaction

States in 62Ni were populated using the 61Ni(d,p) reaction initiated by a polarized deuteron beam. Measurements of vector and tensor analysing powers allowed to deduce dominant j‐transfer values for 32 levels in 62Ni. Below 3.5 MeV excitation the reaction is dominanted by 3/2−, 1/2−, and 5/2− transfers whereas higher levels are populated mainly by 5/2+ and 9/2+ transfers. No strong 7/2− transition was observed.
