DISEÑO DE UN DISPOSITIVO MECÁNICO QUE PERMITA LA EVALUACIÓN DEL COMPORTAMIENTO BIOMECÁNICO DEL TEJIDO BLANDO PLANTAR MEDIANTE EL USO DE ULTRASONIDO Designing a mechanical device that allows performance evaluation of soft tissue biomechanical planting using ultrasound

2008
Diabetes is a disease of high prevalence. The IDF estimates that by 2025 there will be a population of 300 million diabetics in the world. It has been decided that 15% of diabetics are affected with diabetic foot, a complication that can trigger amputations. The occurrence of ulcers is caused by various factors such as: neuropathy, vascular disease, increased plantar pressure, friction of the foot inside the shoe, deformities, compression of soft tissues in the areas of greatest pressure. In this article we focus on the design and development of a mechanical device to evaluate the biomechanical behavior of the tissue of plantar.
