A new self-recording rheogoniometer

1957
A rheogoniometer of the cone-and-plate type has been designed, in which either a continuous rotation or a simple harmonic motion can be imposed on the cone. The torque transmitted through the fluid, and also the normal thrust between the plates, are measured by capacitance gauges. The torque, thrust and applied motion are shown on a c.r.o. screen and can be photographed.
