Congenital Pulmonary Venous Anomalies

2021
Pulmonary venous anomalies constitute an important subset of congenital heart diseases. The imaging of pulmonary venous anatomy has traditionally been performed with echocardiography and catheter pulmonary angiography. Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and notably multidetector row computed tomography (MDCT) have refined the usual imaging techniques. Newer CT scan machines have revolutionized the imaging with an excellent spatial resolution, with improved and increased cardiac as well as extracardiac information obtained in a few seconds.
