Die Kurzzeitvariation der fetalen Herzfrequenz und der FIGO‐CTG-Score - Erste Erfahrungen in der Kombination dieser Überwachungsparameter

2006
The short-time variations (STV) of the fetal heart rate and the CTG score from FIGO are surveillance parameters that are recommended by the German Society for Gynecology and Obstetrics (DGGG) for the assessment of fetal well-being. In this study we evaluate for the first time a software that merges these two parameters. The automatic analysis of the FIGO score using the software "CTG-Online" is already recommended by the guidelines of the DGGG. The calculation of the STV has been implemented according to the publications of Dawes and Redman. We analyzed the correlation of the Dawes/Redman STV with the STV from CTG-Online in a dataset from 54 CTGs with a total of 2013 minutes' recording time. For recording times < 30 minutes we found a correlation coefficient of r = 0.97. The mean of the Dawes/Redman STV was 0.73 ms higher compared to the mean of the STV of CTG-Online. Therefore, the software "CTG-Online" combines the acccepted parameter Dawes/Redman STV with the FIGO score such that future studies should be carried out to examine whether the overall specifity can be improved further without influencing the well-known high sensitivity of CTG monitoring.
