The frequency-voltage stability control for isolated wind-diesel hybrid power system

2021
Abstract In order to assure the stability of isolated wind-diesel hybrid power system under load fluctuation and wind power disturbance, the frequency-voltage integrated control strategy is proposed to adjust the stability output of active and reactive power. Firstly, the whole model is established for the isolated hybrid power system including synchronous generator, battery and STATCOM. Furthermore, the improved sliding mode (SM) observer is constructed to estimate the immeasurable state variable for the controller design. Then, the adaptive sliding mode voltage and frequency controller is designed by using the cloud model method, which can optimize the parameters for improving the accuracy and intelligence of the proposed controller. Finally, the real time digital simulator (RTDS) and MATLAB simulation results under different operations can verify the effectiveness of the proposed control strategy for the hybrid system.
