Stand-Alone Batteryless Water Pumping System Using Single Phase Boost Inverter Fed Induction Motor

A vast part of rural India is still deprived of electrical grids and with all efforts of the government it is still a far cry to get every Indian village grid connectivity. With the advent of PV cells and aided technology it is possible to provide off grid stand alone systems for the electrical energy requirement of villages still disconnected from grid in India. In the present work a battery less PV system employing single stage DC to AC conversion from PV to drive water pumping system is proposed. Present work explains working of a single phase induction motor driving a centrifugal water pump fed from a battery less PV by a single phase boost inverter.
