The application of interface selection and passivation to high efficiency PEDOT:PSS/Si hybrid solar cells
2016
This work explores interface modification to enhance the power conversion efficiency (PCE) of silicon nanoholes (SiNHs)/PEDOT:PSS hybrid solar cells. The hole-selective layer N, N'-bis(3-methylphenyl)-N, N'-diphenylbenzidine (TPD) is used to block the electron and passivate the surface. In addition, Cs 2 CO 3 is inserted for benefiting the electron transportation due to its strong electron injection. Moreover, after the two selective layers are used, the effective carrier lifetime could be prolonged from 29.98 μs to 140.81 μs, indicating the contributions in recombination reduction. Eventually, high PCE of SiNHs/PEDOT:PSS heterojunction solar device can reach 13.23%.
