Survey on Prunus triloba variety resources and construction of database management information system for known varieties

【Objective】Prunus triloba variety resources were surveyed and the management information system of known varieties was built so as to advance the process of variety protection and the development of national Prunus triloba industry. 【Method】Variety survey was done through general survey first and then key-point investigation. Meanwhile the management information system was developed using ASP as development platform, SQL Server 2000 as backstage database and Windows Server 2003 as operation system. 【Result】Thirty Prunus triloba varieties were found, which were not recorded in DUS Testing Guideline for New Varieties of Prunus triloba L, and the database management information system for the known Prunus triloba varieties was primarily constructed. 【Conclusion】The included known Prunus triloba species were enriched after the research, and the management information system was preliminarily built to provide a modern approach for resource management of Prunus triloba.
